holidays- what can I do

I'm feeling like I've got time
energy fro so much
but where to focus my energies
is a little bit of a stunt.

I try to help my friends
to keep in touch with them all
then there's the family
it seems I can't stay on ball

But when I really feel somewhat lost
I think again of the things that count
and surely something great will rise
it will be time to step up to the mount

Then I will continue
I will lay brick on brick
I will build for me a house
that will never dim.

Amen.

Wedding day

At a wedding I was at,
I saw something Divine,
Two people committed to Tora,
Let their lives intertwine.

Going through a life alone,
Brings only half the fun,
That's why we need to match it,
With another one.

I feel that a marriage,
Is the best way,
As it leads someone,
To a brighter day.

May everyone merit to participate in lots of parties and receive many blessings.

When it comes to Purim
I feel a bit drunk
Food packages
Megillah, costumes
Easy to get side-tracked.

I turn on my lights
Think what to do
Chose to start today
I am not in a zoo.

kohanim are love- tezave '74

I was always told,
That Kohanim mean love.
In Tanya it talks of 2 kinds of Tzadikim,
One with fear and love.

The one who feels thirst to G-d,
Relates to fear and silver,
He is like the Levi.
The one who has excited passion,
Is connected to love and gold,
He is like the  Kohen.

We see the elevated position was the Kohen.
We see that to run G-d's palace,
We needed to love more,
And fear less.
It is true them beauty of this world,
Is realized mainly through love,
And not fear.

You know, to see into someone's true Neshama,
You have to see the love in them.
The goodness in them.

There is a story of a the Tzemach Tzedek,
He was wondering in a  city.
And a Chosid wanted to learn with him.
Her agreed.
And so they learnt for months.

What amazes me about this story
Is that the Rabbi loved the learning
He only revealed his identity by accident.

If we can get over that life was not created only for me,
We can truly love another soul,
The way we love ourselves.
And not think the world was created solely for me.
This would make a more conducive world.

Jump in the sea, beshalach

I think the hardest thing in life

Is that word, "Jump,"

I've never been super good at taking the first dip,

At starting a new path.

The Jews were confronted with four options,

To return, pray, fight, or drown,

And they chose none of the four,

Instead they jumped in the sea,

But no, not to drown.

Have you ever confronted,

A set of circumstances

Where you have not found what to do,

But you must act.

So, What did you do?

How did you pull through?

If you take the advice of the Parsha,

The answer is simple clear,

Go ask your Rabbi, 

And then you'll know,

How to go forward

He'll tell you on a silver platter.

In kedusha we say, "Go!"

We don't say, "Hold back."

And this was their answer,

March to the sea.

The Rabbi didn't say daven, die, give up,

He said pull forward,

And redemption will be where you are.

We don't need to make miracles,

Only give what we got,

And Hashem will do the rest for us,

Just trust and give it all you got.

And another hint,

Prayer and advice,

Can't fail.

And keep trying,

Because Hashem is with you.

And so do troubles,
But we still only have bundles,
Not the full answer from Hashem and,
Not a fully perfect life,
Yet.

In this weeks parsha are we free?
No!
But are we almost?
Yes!

A man can go through his whole life,
Being nearly there.
Being partially stuck.
Understanding he is not yet,
Who he could become,
He is on the way.

But let us know,
Whatever Mitzva we do,
It will help the world,
Reach the place of ultimate perfection,
Destiny truth.

To the time when,
When the whole world will bow,
Before the truth of Hashem's dominion,
Over the whole world

In this week's parsha so much pain,
so much sorrow
Nile River for the boys
Assimilation for the girls

And look
So much laughter
Moshe grows and is raised
Moshe marries and goes to Pharoh
The Jews can finally hope
Jews are enslaved for 210 years
Jews suffer 86 years
Jews can hope

I think this holds a key to life
I think this holds  truth
although we want only good
sometimes we must pull through

but we can chose
to see that pain
as blessing
